More About Me

I was raised just outside Washington, D.C. by a historian and an English teacher. This upbringing helped me to develop a deep appreciation for language, literature, and the stories that shape our world. My parents’ love for travel and exploration deepened my love for learning and a curiosity about diverse cultures.

I continued to build on these experiences through my education. As I studied, I constantly looked for experiences to engage with others, such as participating in the education department’s 2023 study abroad to SE Asia. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from UVU with a degree in English education and a minor in history in 2024.

These experiences have all enriched my teaching, allowing me to create an engaging classroom environment. I strive to inspire my students to explore literature with creativity and critical thinking, fostering a love for language that transcends the classroom. Together, we embark on journeys through diverse narratives, encouraging every student to find their own voice.
